THE ISSUES RELATED TO SEO SPAMMING

 

Few of us know that spam is not only related with the clogging of our email boxes, but also with search engines optimization. What is the link? Spamming search engines is a way to artificially manipulate results presented when we do a search on Google or Yahoo. Here are some of the tricky techniques being used:

- Link farm, which is to be part of a link network hated by the search engines;

- Redirect pages, pages with no content and that will send all the traffic to other pages;

If search engines' "police" detects these manipulations, they will remove our website from their index, which is a very dangerous position. To avoid spamming the search engines, we must follow the simple rules stated in the search engines guidelines: we must write good content -- keeping in mind the needs of our visitors, design a clean website layout and to not force overoptimization that consists of pushy seo techniques that unnaturally bring us onto the first page of the search results.

Search engines were conceived to help people find relevant results for the keywords they enter, in a ranked order. Relevancy is a mixture of the authority of the site generally and the specific relevance of the page content to the search made. Anything which undermines this concept is unethical because is against the key purpose of search engines.
